Why am I awake?

So, it's 5:24am on Superbowl Sunday-everyone in the house is sleeping (in their own beds). Everyone except me! As I lay here listening to my hubby "breathe loudly", I can't help but wonder why I am awake. This isn't the first Sunday this has happened, I even know that the only thing on our antenna TV is Mr. Rogers!

I don't seem to always get my brain to sleep, even when my body can't keep going! I wish there was a way to switch it all off!

At least at this rate, we should make Sunday School on time!

Algebra-how I loathe algebra! I consider myself to be pretty proficient when it comes to numbers and math, but maybe 3 years in middle school math have really built my confidence (especially SpEd). Man have my walls been shake by this math course! College Algebra, I will conquer you, you will not break me down! You are the Doofenshmirtz to my Perry-I will survive!!

Chicken Nuggets and French Fries

Last night was super eventful! Macy woke up puking her nuggets and fries-YUCK! She seemed like she was getting better, so I laid her in bed with us. BIG MISTAKE, HUGE! She REALLY PUKED in our bed! I had to shower off with her and Mike had to strip the bed and remake it.
The whole time we were in the shower, I could hear Mike gagging! I asked him if he was ok and he assured me he could handle it. When we were done, the bed was made, Macy had clean clothes laying out an I had a pile of laundry to conquer!
She's good today, we made it, but nuggets and fries are not a part of my future menu plans!

What Cookie Moms Do

So, in addition to everything else, I'm cookie mom for Mada's Girl Scout troop. This seems like a blow-off job, but man, there is a lot of responsibility involved! Get the girls ready to take orders, get all of the forms in on time, order the cookies everyone wants AND figure out how many extra to order. Too many and you are stuck outside of Wally World every Saturday until they are gone and too few, you spend Saturday's driving around after the mobile cookie warehouse. We set up the booth sales, collect all of the money, and at the end of the season, reward the girls with something-all the while trying to save as much money as possible to keep dues and other costs down the next year!
The fun the girls will have at our outside sleepover this summer will be worth it, but right now, UUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

INTERNET JOGGING IS A CLASS???

I am taking Internet Jogging this semester - I thought the other classes would be hard, but man, I am totally out of shape!  My 12 minute test - run or walk for 12 minutes straight and see how far you can go - did not go well!  I made it about 3 1/2 miles!  YUCK!  Everyone has told me to cheat and just say that I am running, but this is a real lesson for me in showing Mada integrity.  I can't cheat while she is watching, so I guess I am into jogging at least for the next 15 weeks.  

I need to get back in shape anyway, so here we go.  Jogging 3 times a week and my new Biggest Looser XBox Kinnect game 4 or 5 times a week.  I have to do better when I do the next 12 minute test!  

The other classes are all going well - Texas Government, College Algebra, Biology, Art Appreciation - I'm keeping up!  I was more afraid that I wouldn't make time for the reading, but the reading goes well, the tests are tough, but most of them give me a few chances to take each one, so I will make it!  I can't wait to be done and find a teaching job!  I just have to keep my eyes on the prize and make the next 18 months count!

2nd Week of School - Going Strong!

I've hit the second week of school and I'm hanging in!  This should be the worst semester, 14 hours!  The girls seem to be adjusting well, too.  Hopefully we can get through these 2 years with no major hiccups!  I wanted to start this blog to keep up with my own progress and have a place to vent any frustrations I have.  If you are reading this, enjoy!
